Who owns GlazingPost
GlazingPost is owned and operated by Yevhenii Kuznietsov, based in Toronto, Ontario. It is not owned by a media group, an association or a manufacturer. There is no publisher, no board and no shareholders.
Yevhenii Kuznietsov is also a co-founder of Installix Windows & Doors, a commercial glazing contractor working in the Greater Toronto Area. That is a company inside the industry this publication covers, and it could plausibly appear in coverage here.
How the site is funded
It is not. GlazingPost carries no advertising, no sponsored posts and no paid placements, sells no directory listings and has no subscription. It has never taken money from anyone. Its running costs — hosting, the domain, and the model calls that draft the articles — are paid by its owner.
That is the current state and not a promise about the future. If the site ever carries advertising or takes sponsorship, this page changes before the money arrives, not after.
The conflict, and what is done about it
A trade publication owned by someone who also runs a contractor in that trade has an obvious problem: coverage could be used to send search authority, or attention, to that contractor. Stating the relationship does not dissolve it. What follows is what is actually done.
- No article on this site links to Installix Windows & Doors. Not one. A link programme was built into the publishing pipeline and it was stopped before it placed its first link.
- The pipeline refuses to publish an article carrying an unqualified link to that company. If such a link is ever placed, it has to carry
rel="nofollow"orrel="sponsored", which is Google's own condition, and the article is refused if it does not. This is enforced in code on the publishing path, not by a policy someone remembers. - Installix Windows & Doors does not appear in the company directory.
- No individual byline. The owner's name has never appeared as the author of an article here and never will; see the Editorial Team page. Naming him as the owner on this page is the point of it.
If this site ever does link to Installix Windows & Doors, the link will be qualified, the article will say plainly that the two share an owner, and this page will say so too.
